Is there trash pickup on Veterans Day?

Veterans Day is almost back for the year, and that means several offices and services will be closed.
On federal holidays like this one, people should expect that federal and state offices, like the post office will be closed. Similarly, you can expect most banks to close for the day, as well.
But does that mean there won’t be garbage pickup on Veterans Day 2024?
No, there will not be trash pickup on Veterans Day (Monday, November 11). Trash pickup will resume later in the week, depending on what township you live in. It varies city by city on which day trash pickup will resume. Some pickup days will be the following day, or as far out as Thursday of this week.
Tinton Falls
The Tinton Falls Department of Public Works will collect Monday’s garbage on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Bulk and metal collection will be on Friday, November 15, 2024.
Bordentown
There will be no trash collection in Bordentown City on Monday, November 11, 2024. Those with Monday garbage pickup will have it collected on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
North Brunswick
There will be no bulk collection on Monday, November 11, 2024. Bulk collection appointments will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. There will be no change to the recycling schedule.
Newark
In Newark, New Jersey, there is no trash pickup on Veterans Day; if your regular collection day falls on Veterans Day, your trash will be collected on the next scheduled pickup day, which is Wednesday, November 13.
Trenton
There will be no trash collection in Trenton, New Jersey on Monday, November 11, 2024. The next pickup will be on Thursday, November 14.
